Kforce has a client in Miramar, FL that is seeking a Manual Software Tester to work diligently to detect and report any issues with our software programs, apps, and websites. In this role, the Junior QA Analyst will conduct quality assurance (QA) testing throughout a project's lifecycle, examining our products much like an end-user would and reporting any bugs to the development team. This role will need to analyze, report and document bugs and errors to development teams.Primary responsibilities will include carrying out manual tests to ensure the software meets requirements. The Junior QA Analyst will often assume the role of an end user to test the applications and features ensuring correct behavior, and will also need to analyze, report and document bugs and errors to development teams.
Responsibilities:
Follow QA Best Practices
Some understanding of Test Management Systems
Review Project Requirements and gain an understanding of new functionality requests
Participate in Project Grooming Sessions
Participate in Brainstorming Activities with Project Team
Participate and complete QA Script writing Workshop
Identify and Create Test Case Scenarios following QA Best Practices
Execute Test Cases assigned to you by the QA Lead
Assist Project Team with assignments and coordination of the project testing team
Report Incidents (defects) and document so that they can be clearly followed
Review Incidents (defects) with Jr Team Members to ensure they follow best practices
Participate in daily standups as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and report your testing efforts/ findings as well as Jr Team Members findings.
Ensure to escalate any Roadblocks preventing you from completely tasks in a timely manner
Provide a timely and accurate Status Report Daily on the work completed
Participate in Deployment and Post Deployment Activities to include QA Sign Offs, Night of Deployment Document, Deployment Planning with Lead/Mgr
REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years of QA experience
Exposure to Mobile and Ecom testing
Quick Test Pro experience is nice to have
Ability to work in the team environment
Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday
Must have a reliable source of transportation to be onsite 5 days/week
Detail-oriented and be able to work independently without direct supervision
Provide leadership and mentor to Junior Members
Ability to work and participate in a team setting with an open, collaborative communication style
Confidence to participate and contribute within a fast-paced, technologically aggressive, highly skilled, and collegial team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
