Staff / Revenue Accountant at Kforce Inc in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Grand Rapids, MI that is seeking a Staff/Revenue Accountant on a contract basis. This position could go perm for the right candidate. This role has a Business casual environment and some remote possibility.

Duties Include:

• Maintaining and reconciling revenue monthly


• Ensuring accrued revenue is posted accurately each month, as well as invoicing for revenue and reconciling outstanding balances


• Update manager of budget impacts and revenue projections


• Understand funding formulas and drivers of state and local revenue


• Create journal entries to recognize revenue monthly


• Manage accounts receivable balances and clear them by the end of the fiscal year and other project needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting and three plus years of experience is required


• Revenue accounting


• Reconciliations


• General ledger


• Journal entries

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
