What's the role?

To assist in maintaining Quality Assurance and Control practices in adherence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations for the Quality System Regulation and for ISO 13485 standards, the QC Lab Technician will provide Quality Control assistance on a daily basis for analytical lab. Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition raw materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development

Here's what you'll do:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:


  • Operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, sonicator, viscometer, chemical balance scales, UV spectrophotometer, GC, HPLC, colorimeter, and other equipment.

  • Tests samples of manufactured raw materials to verify conformity to specifications.

  • Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used. Prepares graphs and charts.

  • Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment and glassware.

  • Calibrates laboratory instruments and keeps calibration standard records.

  • Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas.

  • Prepares chemical reagents needed to perform routine testing.

  • Performs special tests as required.

  • Keeps records for QA/QC data validation.

  • Performs daily checks to equipment to ensure the quality assurance system of the lab.

  • Responsible for reporting data with accuracy and precision.

Do you qualify?

Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited higher learning institution in the Biological Sciences or Chemistry or Engineering preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in the laboratory using UV, IR, GC, HPLC techniques, etc.

  • Read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to chemical solvents, such as acetonitrile, IPA, acetone, ethanol etc. which are typically used for HPLC instrument and other tests. The noise level is a typical of a chemical lab equipped with fume hoods which create moderator level of noise. However, no ear protection is required. The room is air conditioned. Gloves, safety glasses, and lab coats are provided for employee use. Employees must wear shoes which can cover the foot without toes exposed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including one-hour lunch break, 40 hours per week.

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 -$24.00 .

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is eligible for a performance bonus.
