Essential Job Functions

Creating an inviting stage: Set up, tidy, and organize workstations for a seamless culinary performance.
Embrace cleanliness and safety: Maintain and service equipment, ensuring a safe and sparkling work environment.
Crafting culinary magic: Prep ingredients--think washing veggies, chopping, seasoning--to set the flavor stage.
Preparing the kitchen arena: Ready the oven, utensils, and grill for a sizzling culinary adventure.
Cooking up excellence: Execute orders with precision, following food health and safety standards.
Innovating delights: Offer creative ideas for specials and seasonal dishes that tantalize taste buds.
Calculating: Determine precise food quantities based on menus and meal headcounts.
Dressing dishes: Present orders with flair, ensuring each meal aligns with resident preferences.
Ensuring order accuracy: Double-check meal cards to guarantee each resident receives the right dish and sides.
Timely delivery: Swiftly transport orders to dietary service workers for seamless service.
Food storage finesse: Properly store all ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
Hygiene hero: Keep workstations and utensils sanitized and spotless for a pristine kitchen.
Inventory mastery: Monitor and reorder stock and supplies to keep the culinary creativity flowing.
Team support: Keep an eye on fellow members and offer a helping hand when the kitchen calls.


Requirements and Qualifications

Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Master multitasker with excellent time management skills
Endurance for standing throughout shifts
Self-motivated go-getter with independent drive
Team player and ace at individual tasks
Quick on the uptake for complex orders
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess and maintain food handler's certification
CPR certification in hand and up-to-date
DPS fingerprint clearance card ready to go
Previous cooking experience or related work preferred
Flexible availability for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Capable of bending, lifting up to 25 pounds daily, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Physical agility to stand, move, bend, and kneel during shifts
Solid literacy skills in reading and writing
Friendly, courteous, and polite nature
Adept at following directions
Stellar communication abilities
