Corporate Secretary and Executive Assistant - Greenville, NC (with eligibility after 1 year to work remotely part-time)


The right person for the job will be able to actively work with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to support efficient and sound administration of the company. You will perform a wide variety of services that include: communicating with stakeholders, planning corporate functions and logistics, supporting key corporate governance processes, organizing and attending board and leadership meetings, and archiving corporate records. . You should enjoy the challenge of planning and executing Board Meetings to allow the Board to conduct business pertinent to the Association. You will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Leadership team in a work culture that welcomes and respects strong customer service skills, superior written and oral communication, a proactive mindset, tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations, attention to detail, time management, and organization.

The Corporate Secretary and Executive Assistant will contribute to all business objectives including "Responsibly Lead the Co-op". This position would report to the Chief Administrative Officer.


How you will impact AgCarolina Farm Credit:

  • Perform corporate and administrative services to ensure the Association complies with governing laws, regulations, and corporate expectations.
  • Coordinate with our Board of Directors on meetings, expense reporting, training, travel, and operations.
  • Support strong communication and relations with the Board and executive leadership
  • Organize meeting agendas and support the organization and distribution of meeting materials
  • Ensures required documents are timely and accurately submitted to the Farm Credit Administration (FCA), AgFirst and other stakeholders
  • Record minutes of the Board and Board Committee meetings,
  • Coordinate Annual Stockholders' meetings and administratively support the annual stockholder election process
  • Assist and support the Nominating Committee to fulfill their duties
  • Support Chief Executive Officer with scheduling and organizing meetings, tracking action items, making travel arrangements, completing expense reports, supporting the development of oral and written communications
  • Assist with maintaining policies and procedures
  • Support Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership as needed

What you need to succeed:

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, legal or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an executive assistant and/or corporate secretary in a corporate environment
  • Self-starter with superior written and oral communication skills, as well as decision/problem solving skills
  • Paralegal or related experience, preferred
  • Ability to travel within AgCarolina Farm Credit's territory
  • Demonstrates tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations
  • Capability to handle high stress situations in both a business and professional manner
  • Computer experience with superior skills in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Quick learner, strong problem solver, and adaptable
  • Work independently under general supervision
  • Foster and promote a collaborative, team atmosphere
