Job Description:

Who we are looking for

Works as a senior member of a team handling certain aspects of the end to end corporate action process. This position may focus on research, response processing, or settlement of entitlements. All functions contain a high principal risk profile
and stringent deadlines.

What you will be responsible for

Act a senior member of an operating team providing support and control over complex and time critical corporate action events and transactions.


  • Provide training to team members.

  • Assist managers by prioritizing the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed.

  • As assigned, perform functions of other Corporate Action Specialists.

  • As assigned, process and/or resolve complex issues such as but not limited to audit discrepancies, suspense account reconciliation and exception resolution.

  • Assists in promoting and ensuring all direct client service relationships/fund group inquiries are acted upon and completed in a timely manner.

  • Assist and co-ordinate procedural changes to the current process.

  • Collect and analyze data related to key process and quality metrics.

  • Assist by providing coverage in the absence of staff members or the Team Leader.

  • Assist the Team Leader by prioritizing the daily workload of the group to accommodate time critical or high risk events.

  • Assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes and mitigate risk within the unit.

  • Serve as a central point of contact for specific internal and external clients.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on projects and initiatives.

  • Participate regularly in forums with sub custodians or vendors to ensure best service is received by SSC.

  • Participate and complete projects aimed at improving the Corporate Action product.

  • Ensure effective Risk Management by coordinating or completing end of day reports and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of pertinent issues.


Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in accounting, finance or economics.


  • Minimum 3+ years related work experience.

  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communications skills including expressing complex ideas and concepts.

  • Computer proficient including spreadsheet and database applications.
