Job Description:

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Manager to be responsible for leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, quality control, customer services and maintenance functions for a quarry operation. Additional objectives include asset protection, financials, budgeting, cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations. This position will lead the management team and hourly employees in the greater Nashville, TN area located at our Smyrna, TN location.

• Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies for the site.


• Lead and develop hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.


• Ensure compliance with company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.


• Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.


• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include schedule, production and training activities.


• Performs incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility



This position will be accountable for one crew with up to ten employees.



Work Environment



This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment at a quarry location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position may require long hours and weekend work.



Travel



Occasional travel will be required.



Required Education and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree, four or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent required.


• Skill Traded certification(s) are a plus.
