Posting Summary:
Serve as a subject matter expert to educate faculty, staff, and students in the areas of Inclusive Excellence. Reports to the Senior Executive Director for Inclusive Excellence. Provide consultative support based on research-based best practices to Colleges, Divisions, and units in the development and implementation of the professional and faculty development sections of their respective unit's Inclusive Excellence Action Plans (IEAP). Participate in collaborative problem solving in implementing the Office of the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence's (OVPIE) Professional and Faculty Development Plan in concert with professional and faculty development components of the University of Vermont's (UVM) Comprehensive Inclusive Excellence Action Plan.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
-Bachelor's degree and two to four years relevant experience
-Experience in design and delivery of adult education and DEI training
-Effective skills in: organization, editing, writing, program development, interpersonal, public presentation, and intercultural communications
-Demonstrated ability to serve as an effective team member on collaborative projects required.
-Demonstrated success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evidence of commitment to fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
Desirable Qualifications:
-Master's degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience that supports expertise in this area.-Previous experience as a 'front-of-the-room' trainer and/or facilitator.-DEI training and/or course work on systemically marginalized domestic populations.
Anticipated Pay Range:
60,000
Other Information:
Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime)
Special Conditions:
External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, Background Check required for this position
