SUMMARY



Stampede Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Railroad Superintendent/Quality Control Manager for the Railroad Program. Superintendents with management responsibilities include an effort to deliver every project on time within budget and scope and managing resources and subcontractors.

Responsibilities




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Attend, facilitate, coordinate all required meetings and progress updates with the customer.
  • Provide onsite project oversight and leadership of quality control and risk mitigation


Qualifications




QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)


  • 10 years of experience working on and with railroad systems in a supervisory capacity.
  • Previous experience with federal contracting.
  • Experience enforcing and complying with quality standards set forth in contract documentation, plans, and specifications.
  • Proven working experience as a supervisor or QC for similar type and complexity projects


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics


  • Ability to read and/or learn to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, materials, and scheduling


Preferred


  • 10 years of Construction Management experience

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent on-site with subcontractors or in field office sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.



DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS


  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.


WORK ENVIRONMENT.


Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


Job is performed in on the project site or in the field office with access to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • No supervisory responsibilities.




ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS



As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
