Quality Lab Manager

Job Description:

The Role:

As a Lab Manager at Entegris, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 24/7/365 laboratory facilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will work closely with a team of lab quality technicians and quality engineers to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and supervise daily laboratory operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all laboratory staff.

• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining adequate stock levels.

• Train, mentor, and support lab technicians.

• Collaborate with research and development teams to support ongoing projects and experiments.

• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methodologies to improve lab efficiency and capabilities.

• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Work with lab and manufacturing personnel to adjust production batches and resolve quality issues.

• Investigate and address quality complaints, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions, including process improvements to enhance agreement on customer and production needs.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or equivalent experience

• Proven experience in a manufacturing laboratory setting, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality assurance tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean principles)

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO) relevant to laboratory operations.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team

Additional Requirements:

• This operation runs 24/7/365. Support for the team on this schedule may require flexibility outside of normal business hours.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate project timelines or operational demands.
