Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time intake and assessment assistant to work 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in the Wicomico County Adult Education Program. Responsibilities include helping the intake and assessment coordinator with administering standardized tests for Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED®, National External Diploma Program (NEDP) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) learners; counseling ESL-Adavnced and GED® learners nearing program completion on the admissions process to transition to postsecondary education; running monthly reports on attendance and CASAS testing; providing community outreach; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; one year of testing experience; excellent organizational, record-keeping and human relations skills; and working knowledge of Word and Excel. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual/multilingual and who have experience teaching adults.
