Job Description:

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Dean of the School of Education (SOE), a successful applicant will serve as the coordinator who leads and supports the implementation and reporting of the education teacher performance assessment (edTPA) for all teacher preparation programs, as well as additional outreach efforts with our school and community partners. The edTPA is the culminating pedagogical assessment that is part of a multiple measures assessment system designed to evaluate the readiness of teacher candidates to teach in their prepared area within the range birth – grade 12. The position requires collaboration and coordination between School of Education (SoE) faculty, students, and staff, as well as community/school partners and national support teams. The successful applicant will also identify, initiate, and support outreach efforts with school and community partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an education-related field
  • Teaching experience in PK-12 schools
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of professional development
  • Familiar with current state and national education initiatives (i.e., edTPA, standards-based instruction, etc.)
  • Evidence of strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge in curriculum design, assessment, data analysis, and intervention practices
  • Strong technology skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with higher education
  • Experience working cooperatively across PK-16 community
  • Experience with Canvas, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint
  • Experience with Professional Development Schools (PDS)
  • Experience with edTPA (personally or supporting candidates)
