The Impact You'll Make in this Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Customs Valuation Lead to join our Global Trade Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of customs valuation and tax/finance valuation methodologies related to price adjustments, arm's length or related party transactions, and the World Trade Organizations (WTO) Customs Valuation methodology. An ideal candidate having a strong background in finance, tax, and accounting will assist the candidate in bridging the gap between the Trade/Customs valuations and finance/tax valuations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with our tax and finance teams on pricing and mark up factor adjustments and what risks or impacts it will have on our customs relationships globally.


  • As a Global Trade Compliance Valuation Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Working closely with the tax and finance teams on any valuation, mark up factors and transfer pricing discussions

  • Coordinate and education other teams on the trade impacts associated with any valuation's changes being proposed

  • Develop and write and maintain country by country procedures on making valuation changes and what restrictions are in place with the different authorities

  • Manage any disclosures and communications with customs authorities related to any pricing adjustments

  • Manage any custom inquires related to any product pricing changes

  • Manage any relations with outside firms we contract with on transfer pricing advice and direction

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Tax, Supply Chain Management, AND/OR International Trade with six (6) years of experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND ten (10) years of experience in Finance, Tax, Supply Chain Management, International Trade in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Master's degree in Business, finance, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and trade finance

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proficiency in trade compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite

Work location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
