A day in the life.



As a Marketing Specialist on our team, you'll support our marketing efforts as well as individual producers in their efforts to nurture and develop engaged leads. The Marketing Specialist works directly with other members of the marketing team to ensure all projects adhere to departmental standards and support brand integrity, message consistency and communication efficiency.


This position has the ability to work out of our Michigan offices in Troy or Livonia.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




CONTENT MANAGEMENT



  • Works with the UMW marketing communications team to develop content that upholds the MMA brand across a variety of channels, including the website, social media platforms, and collateral design.

  • Creates and delivers marketing email campaigns including newsletters, event invites, and alerts

  • Support Producers/Practitioners with graphic design needs and executing capabilities presentations, placemats and flipbooks from existing templates provided by Business Development Manager

  • Works with Business Development Manager to execute sales enablement campaigns utilizing content library



  • Leverage Qualtrics to build client and prospect surveys

  • Understands and leverages sales/CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Pardot

  • Understands available tools, trends, event platforms, event apps and shares any technological advancements with team members

  • Assist with other projects or assignments as needed including collaborating with human resources, other offices and regions.




EVENT EXECUTION



  • Assists in lifecycle of Webinar and Seminar event including registration set-up, promotion, execution/hosting, registration and attendance reporting, CE credits, recording, and social media promotion

  • Supports calendar management of Michigan events

  • Coordinates with regional Sales Enablement team on promotion of upcoming events

  • Develops and executes event related automation including forms, lists, Salesforce campaigns, and pre and post event outreach

  • At external tradeshows and events, coordinates booth setup, registrations and staffing

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry associations through coordinating participation in association activities and networking opportunities

  • Provides support for company executives who schedule external speaking engagements. This may include compiling materials, scheduling practice sessions, coordinating marketing messaging in social media channels.

  • Works with Sales Operations Coordinator to ensure new leads generated from events are added into the CRM database




INTERNAL CLIENT EXPERIENCE



  • Supports Producers with the creation of prospect marketing materials and deliverables

  • Works with marketing's internal communication and social media team members to ensure our events are promoted internally through the appropriate platforms and within our designated social media channels in supporting and promoting our culture and brand

  • Ensure MMA employees receive accurate, detailed, and timely information regarding all events

  • Serves as an 'as needed' member of the Upper Midwest marketing and sales ops teams

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:


  • BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field, preferred.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of marketing experience.

  • Graphic design knowledge (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other applications such as Adobe; willing to attend training sessions if needed for other applications.

  • Knowledge/basic understanding of database formatting. Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM or sales management tools; willing to attend training sessions to ensure accurate usage.

  • Familiar with Pardot or another marketing automation platform (Hubspot, Constant Contact, etc)

  • Ability to use Internet, print publications and other tools for research and informational purposes.

  • Excellent communication and telephone skills, required for successful daily interaction over the phone

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, whether in person, video, telephone, or via email and written communications.

  • Self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate employee group benefit products.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
