Position: Staff Software Engineer



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Architect and design complex cloud native enterprise applications that work with multiple third party applications and that work on multiple data centers. Identify solutions for complex business problems and derive solutions that are configurable, highly performant, highly available, secure, scalable, maintainable, and supportable. Design microservices architecture for software applications and build RESTful Webservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Azure Cloud. Use appropriate caching mechanisms for optimal performance. Build applications that judiciously use synchronous RESTAPIs and asynchronous Kafka messaging. Use SQL and NoSQL databases as persistent storage based on use cases. Use multithreading techniques, Java Thread, Executor Framework, and Concurrent Collections to orchestrate data from various sources. Build efficient logging and monitoring using Splunk and Grafana to ensure end to end traceability and supportability of applications. Build mock services using Java 8 to ensure continuous developments even when downstream are not ready. Use agile methodologies, continuous integrations, and continuous delivery using Jenkins and Concord pipelines to ensure the seamless movement of code across environments. Ensure services are secure using Spring Security and app to app authentication mechanisms. Coordinate with multiple teams and ensure that the required infrastructure, contracts, and setups are available for the successful implementation of projects.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience designing cloud native enterprise applications that work with multiple third party applications and that work on multiple data centers. Experience identifying solutions for complex business problems that are configurable, highly performant, highly available, secure, scalable, maintainable, and supportable. Experience designing microservices architecture for software applications. Experience building RESTful Webservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Azure Cloud. Experience identifying appropriate caching mechanisms to ensure optimal application performance. Experience building software applications that use synchronous REST APIs and asynchronous Kafka messaging. Experience using SQL and NoSQL databases as persistent storage. Experience orchestrating data from multiple sources using Multithreading Techniques in Java Thread, Executor Framework, and Concurrent Collections. Experience building efficient logging and monitoring using Splunk and Grafana to ensure end to end traceability and supportability of the software application. Experience building mock services using Java 8 to ensure continuous developments even when downstream are not ready. Experience using agile methodologies and continuous integration and continuous delivery using Jenkins and Concord pipelines to ensure the seamless movement of code across environments. Experience ensuring services are secure using spring security and app to app authentication mechanisms. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $174,518/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
