Won-Door is looking to increase its architectural specifications on products which can lead to additional sales. The primary responsibility of this position would be to drive architectural specification by improving relationships and partnerships with architects to increase collaboration and education on job specific environments.Skills/Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or similar discipline required.

  • 5+ years of writing and modification specifications related to building components; should include knowledge of commercial building process

  • Specific experience in building products and/or architectural cladding industry an asset

  • Inside and/or outside sales experience with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision making preferred

  • Computer literate in MS Office products, as well as architectural programs (i.e. Revit, AutoCad, AutoDesk, etc.)

  • Experience with CRM management

  • An ability to be a team player, while also having a strong work ethic and ability to work remotely

  • Excellent time management, oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are a must

  • Professional appearance with a can-do attitude

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both to individuals and groups

  • Optimized product specifications for commercial solutions to increase specification rate, representing full product offerings specified for a job.

  • Demonstrate big picture vision to interact directly with owners during project development, guide architects through design phase using technical capability and maximize efficiency with installers and contractors throughout execution utilizing product and application knowledge.

  • Use technical promotion to educate architects, including AIA credited presentations and product selection guidance for projects early in the design phase.

  • Create education tools (presentations, videos, whitepapers, etc.), to engage with architect community.

  • Ensure product documentation is optimized for architectural consumption (i.e. types of files, ease of access to most current product information).

  • Understand trends for architectural community to ensure we are putting those items in our pipeline (i.e. preference to a certain way to do energy analysis or optimizing specification workflow).

  • Available to travel frequently and represent the company in a professional manner.
