What we need:


The Director Cloud is a high-level leader that will be responsible for leading cloud strategy, architecture, and operations. The Director of Cloud will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, while driving cloud innovation across the organization.


What you'll do:



  • Implement the overall strategy for comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Plan for future growth and advancements, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Lead the assessment, selection, and adoption of cloud platforms, services, and technologies.
  • Define and communicate the cloud vision, roadmap, and best practices across the organization.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures.
  • Ensure cloud solutions are resilient, cost-effective, and meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Implement and monitor cloud security measures to protect data and applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize cloud resources and costs through effective monitoring, governance, and capacity planning.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new cloud solutions, tools, and methodologies.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud efficiency, agility, and performance.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, vendors, and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing agreements to ensure optimal value and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their cloud needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


What you have:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.


What you're good at:



  • Proven experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage large-scale cloud projects.
  • At least 5 years in cloud architecture and management roles a plus.
  • Proficiency in cloud management tools and automation technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Developing proven team structure and processes that drive results.
  • Solid understanding of broader organization context and goals.
  • Able to delegate work effectively to team members; ensures tasks are completed without micromanaging.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations while preserving relationships.
  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential people data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
