Digital Communicator
Position SummaryPlays a key role in developing digital and traditional content marketing strategies for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), with a focus on CANR social media and events at the Pavilion. Works in collaboration with internal clients and external stakeholders to create and distribute high-quality content across all appropriate channels. Maintains best practices for Pavilion marketing practices by working closely with Pavilion staff, external partners and clients.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Communications, Journalism, Telecommunications, Public Relations, or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services; graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or computer programming/technology; experience managing content for social media channels; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired QualificationsFour-year college degree program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in communications; and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services.

This position is based in East Lansing and includes job flexibility, including the option to work a hybrid schedule with weekly onsite office hours (generally two to three days per week), in addition to evening or weekend events as needed.
