Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The person will work with the potato tissue culture specialist to manage the potato tissue culture bank. The work will involve use of sterile technique to propagate the plant material, media making, record keeping, disease testing and bringing new material into tissue culture. They will also work in the potato hydroponic greenhouse.
