Posting Summary:
Oversee the processing and distribution of all UVM Bookstore e-commerce orders. Coordinate with various departments to oversee online textbook orders during the start of the Fall and Spring semesters and emblematic apparel and gifts and regalia orders during peak order times in December, April, May, and June. Assist with backroom and front-end operations by receiving merchandise, stocking the sales floor, and operating a point-of sale-system. Maintain accuracy of product listings on the UVM Bookstore website.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
High school diploma and two years' experience required. Ability to maintain accurate paper and electronic records, ability to interpret and implement relevant sales tax regulations, ability to work with frequent interruptions, and ability to use independent judgement and prioritize tasks. Demonstrated retail experience, including high volume online order processing and familiarity with retail sales and operations required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment. Must be able to work some weekends, evenings, and occasional University holidays with occasional overtime. Valid VT driver's License required.
Anticipated Pay Range:
$19.50 to $20/hr
Special Conditions:
External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
