SCOPE OF ROLE

The Volunteer, AmeriCorps Greeter ensures all incoming patients are greeted in a friendly, professional manner. The Volunteer, AmeriCorp Greeter will handle patient inquiries, assist with appointment check-in, and direct to appropriate departments or areas as needed.

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED

• Greet patients in friendly and professional manner.


• Guide and assist patients to appropriate service areas.


• General knowledge of all service lines offered.


• Familiar with check in process on kiosks to assist patients as needed.


• Assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment by wiping /sanitizing hard surfaces.


• Required to complete all trainings assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma


• Customer Service Experience preferred.


• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills required.


• Demonstrated basic computer knowledge preferred.

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment.


• Hours of operation are generally standard.


• Requires periods of sitting, standing.


• Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person.


• Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person.


• Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.


• Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties.


• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting throughout a regular workday.


• Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
