The Senior Director is a key role on SCJ's Tax team with responsibility for tax matters involving the Company's foreign subsidiaries. This unique role provides responsibilities across a wide range of international tax disciplines. The role will manage all tax matters for a specific region and/or business unit(s), including but not limited to:


  • US GAAP income tax accounting

  • US international income tax compliance, including Pillar 2 Global Minimum Tax

  • Transfer pricing

  • Day-to-day tax issues, including US and non-US income tax audits

  • Tax planning and other tax-related transactions

  • Treasury objectives

  • Indirect taxes, including value-added taxes and trade compliance

  • While this role does not directly manage a team, it provides leadership in guiding and supporting local Finance and cross-functional teams on tax-related matters.

**This role is an Onsite role in Racine, WI**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • US GAAP income tax accounting: support local Finance teams in preparing detailed income tax reporting packages, ultimately supporting amounts recorded in the income tax P&L and balance sheet accounts, for legal entities in his/her region(s) and/or business unit(s)

  • US international income tax compliance: support international tax compliance team with technical analyses on various matters and overall strategy, including Pillar 2 Global Minimum Tax readiness; responsibility for reviewing accuracy of all US international compliance calculations and filings related to his/her region(s) and/or business unit(s), as well as the "aggregate" international calculations (e.g., FTC limitation, FDII, GILTI, BEAT, 163(j), etc.)

  • Transfer pricing: understand and advise on transfer pricing implications of regional business models and specific business transactions; support preparation and review of annual transfer pricing documentation for legal entities in his/her region(s) and/or business unit(s)

  • Day-to-day tax issues: support local Finance and cross-functional teams representing the business on tax-related items and provide strategic support for US and non-US income tax audits for legal entities in his/her region(s) and/or business unit(s)

  • Tax planning and other tax-related transactions: identify and implement tax planning strategies in conjunction with business transactions, including supply chain planning, M&A due diligence, legal contracts, entity rationalization, etc.

  • Treasury objectives: support the Company's cash repatriation, capital structure, and financing objectives with an eye towards improving tax efficiency, minimizing tax risks, and streamlining Treasury processes

  • Indirect taxes: develop and maintain a working knowledge of indirect taxes (e.g., value-added taxes, trade compliance, etc.) and assist in identifying and implementing strategies to reduce such taxes and improve compliance processes

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • Advanced post-graduate degree (Masters of Tax, JD, etc.)

  • At least 10 years intensive tax experience at a multinational corporation, major law firm, or large accounting firm, including at least 4 years of advanced and well-rounded international tax experience (including compliance, planning, non-US tax, and supply chain experience)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS


  • Certified Professional Accountant or Tax Attorney strongly preferred

  • Corptax provision and compliance software

  • ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes

  • Pillar 2 Global Minimum Tax

  • Knowledge and familiarity of SAP

  • Tax research experience and ability to stay abreast of rapidly evolving international tax rules

  • Proven ability to identify tax structuring opportunities and process improvements consistent with the Company's business goals

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to foster relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment

  • Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Full-time. Overtime is expected at certain times of the year, including but not limited to year-end close, tax return filing season, and when working on time-sensitive projects

  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel, primarily to meet with subsidiary personnel to understand current and future business objectives and attend seminars or conferences

  • Office work environment; remote work available one day a week for eligible employees

  • This role is eligible for domestic relocation
