Daily production and management of the pipeline the lender has assigned. The Assistant position will be the main point of contact for anyone while the lender is not available. The Assistant will work with processing, closing and underwriting to make sure loans close in a timely manner.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Familiar with portfolio lending as well as secondary market guidelines.
Will enter and complete client applications.
Pipeline management and quality control.
Ensure residential lending portfolio is compliant with regulatory requirements including but not limited to Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, HMDA, RESPA, Reg Z, Reg B, Fact Act and Safe Act.
Monitor and manage the timeliness and quality of the mortgage pipeline.
Complete disclosures and send them to clients.
Responsible for follow up calls to clients.
Monitoring phone calls and emails for the lender(s) assigned to.
Provide daily support to ensure timelines are met, service standards are exceeded, workload priorities are established, and problems/exceptions resolved.
Show up daily with a customer first attitude.
Skills and Qualification
Understanding of mortgage loan documentation, mortgage loan processing, closing, regulatory compliance, mortgage loan underwriting if possible.
Minimum 3-4 years of Mortgage experience. Bachelor’s degree recommended, not required.
Basic computer skills and proficiency of the English language.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to concentrate and work independently.
Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to quickly adapt to changing regulations, investor overlays, work as a team.
Capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly.
