Who we are looking for

The Research Analyst provides investment research, data analysis, and executes client request for proposals as part of the SPDR Americas Research team. The role is based in Boston, MA. The Analyst will provide analysis on market trends and respond to client inquires with in-depth detailed information while working alongside a larger research team dedicated to ETFs, market outlooks, investment analysis and thought leadership.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As a Research Analyst you will

• Generate detailed responses to unique client requests supported by data from multiple unstructured data sources helping to educate our clients and promote ETFs relative to other investment vehicles


• Use qualitative and quantitative sources to enhance the product positioning of SPDR ETF family of ETFs, with a general understanding of asset classes and how ETFs function in the marketplace


• Provide ongoing updates on product positioning opportunities, as well as represent the Research team as a subject matter expert on specific projects

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• An understanding of the benefits of the ETF structure and how it functions in the secondary and primary markets


• Self-starting and driven with the ability to leverage resources across all SSGA and STT business lines


• Instinctive capacity for problem-solving on both an individual and team basis


• Organization and delegation skills are critical, as well as the ability to prioritize based on client need


• The capacity to develop and sustain strong working partnerships with our marketing, product and investment teams

- Minimum 2-4 years of investment experience

- Knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet and Morningstar Direct

- Knowledge of investments

- Critical understanding of financial theory

- Knowledgeable of ETFs and competing investment vehicles

- Excellent communication and written skills

- Ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders

- Positive, collaborative attitude with a strong team orientation

Additional requirements

Maybe: Knowledge of additional European language will be considered a plus.

$65,000 - $102,500 Annual
