About the Role
First PREMIER Bank is looking to add a Compliance Analyst to our Compliance Team. This role is responsible to help management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of regulatory, control, and governance processes. Compliance is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based reviews in accordance with the annual approved program, as well as assisting with other regulatory matters and projects. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities 

• Becomes proficient in at least four major compliance regulations/business processes.


• Able to conduct training and education of Bank/Bankcard personnel independently through formal and informal methods.


• Consult with the business on matters related to operations and customer relations and provide advice on risks and controls.


• Independently review operational and customer facing processes and make recommendations for changes to processes and/or procedures.


• Conduct independent interviews with the business and utilize judgment to make conclusions.


• Authority to review, interpret and/or affect policies or operating practices.


• Provide consultation or expert advice to management.


• Investigates and resolves matters of significance on behalf of company.


• Assist in planning projects and/or reviewing workpapers as assigned.


• Prepare reports and communicate with affected personnel and management.


• Attend various business/task forces meetings as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications 

• Must possess a strong understanding of Bank regulations and operations.


• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3 to 5 years of industry experience preferably in a banking or financial organization.


• Demonstrated organizational, confidential, and independent work experience necessary.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Proficient knowledge of the structure and content of the English language is required, including the meaning, rules of composition, and grammar.


• Performs job functions accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
