Job Description:

What you will do

Under general direction plans, program, operate and maintain the automation equipment in the manufacturing area, maximize the performance standards set for production, quality and cost.

How you will do it

• PLC Programming and Maintaining Fanuc & Denso Robotic Cells.


• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing automation systems.


• Perform monthly safety and 5S audits following plant-based criteria.


• Maintain automated quality testing equipment.


• Setup and make adjustments on Cognex and Keyence vision systems.


• Maintain automated assembly equipment.


• Training of other technicians


• Responsible for challenge and testing of all automated assembly equipment
   

What we look for

• A minimum of 4 years of automation experience; Robotic training preferred


• Associate Degree in Engineering, Automation or bachelor’s degree in engineering, automation, or related field preferred


• Direct experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and Vision Systems


• A strong background in maintenance is highly preferred 



• Overtime is required as needed

Our Winston-Salem, North Carolina assembly plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications. We opened our facility in 1978 and now employ more than 500 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through food drives for Second Harvest Food Bank and toy drives for Brenner Children’s Hospital.
