As the Quality Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Schreiber’s global quality management system (QMS) to help direct activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
You will drive alignment, simplification, and continuous improvement (CI) of the QMS across the organization through deployment and usage of CI techniques, integrated systems, feedback processes, and predictive analytics to eliminate risk and increase efficiency.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 2 days onsite at Home Office and the remainder from home. This position will require travel up to 25% of the time, both within the US and internationally.
What you’ll do
Manages global QMS implementation, maintenance, and improvement of programs companywide ensuring quality, food safety, and customer objectives are met.
Oversee processes of key quality systems (QS) programs to drive alignment globally, such as but not limited to Non-Conforming Events, Complaints, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Document Control, Hold and Release, Recall and Traceability, etc.
Collaborates with stakeholders in our business Areas of the World (AOW) to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of Quality System requirements and procedures, to domestic and international regulations and standards.
Establishes and manage an effective global Management Review process, including routine reporting.
Leads, provides guidance, and gives support for implementation of new QS processes and continuous improvement efforts.
Executes on the Quality System strategy and facilitates implementation.
Manages, oversees, and/or provide input on key business systems tools as it relates to the QMS, quality, and food safety.
Manages Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) as the business owner for ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts both internally and with vendor (Intelex).
Collaborates with and support IS and other system tool business owners (Optiva, Oracle, Invio, LIMS) to ensure QMS needs are met and to introduce and translate processes into our system tools to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Manages and provide oversight for QMS profile within Schreiber’s SharePoint system to ensure it meets the QMS and document control needs.
Oversees the quality system compliance and drives improvement through use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and predictive analytics to monitor performance of key elements of the quality system.
Works with IS to enhance and integrate systems to provide key information and data visibility, automated trending, alarms and notifications to support business needs and drive improvement.
Leads, provides guidance, and gives support for implementation of new QS processes and continuous improvement efforts.
Leads and develops partners globally to increase QS competency and foster a culture of quality and food safety.
Leads, educates, and coaches partners to increase quality systems and quality system tools competency and engagement globally.
Ensures QMS - quality systems policies, programs, procedures, and tools are aligned to promote a food safety and quality culture helping to influence behavior.
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
What you need to succeed
Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing
Expertise in QMS schemes (GFSI, ISO, etc..) and in developing and implementing quality systems and processes for a manufacturing environment.
Experience in implementation and maintenance of Quality System requirements and procedures such as Non-Conforming Events, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Training, Document Control, Management Controls, Internal Audits.
Experience in quality system compliance through Global KPI’s, Quality Planning; Quality Systems Metrics and Trending; leading indicators and predictive analytics.
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills.
Expertise in statistical process control and continuous improvement techniques.
Strong influential leadership and project management skills.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Interest and ability to work across multiple time zones, both US and international
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both within the US and internationally.
