Job Description:

The Tulsa World, a Lee Enterprises company, is looking for a nimble, collaborative reporter focused on the news of the day to serve the public. This could be breaking news, severe weather, fact checking or explaining something new that everyone is talking about or should be talking about.

The goal with service journalism is to explain how the news of the day impacts readers, their work, their families and their daily lives. We want to do that with stories, photos and videos.

This Staff Writer will also work with the newsroom on high-interest topics and contribute to in-depth projects. This position reports to City Editor Paul Tyrrell.

Candidates for this position should have experience writing on deadline, taking photos and shooting video. This position will work with other staff writers, staff photographers and editors to contribute to the Tulsa World's daily report in print and online. This reporter will focus on daily assignments, in-depth projects and travel to where the news takes them. In addition to creating content, this reporter will also engage with audiences and connect content through social media and appear in Tulsa World videos.
