Job Description:

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee.

This will be an onsite position working in the Nashville Corporate Office.

Summary - The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative support which may include, general administrative support, assisting with invoice coding and approval, preparing reports and other documentation as requested by management team, creating, and maintaining accurate documents and records, processing and receiving mail and shipments, requisitioning of supplies, and organizing office operations and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.


  • Provides administrative support to departments and their leadership and performs a wide range of duties that support operations.
  • Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as filing systems and other clerical services.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, reordering as needed.
  • Assists with organizing/preparing for office functions.
  • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Assists Marketing departments with shipping, bids, and proposal documents.
  • Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations as needed.
  • Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 1 to 3 years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, and experience required. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point and Word), PDF and SharePoint.
