Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing training activities for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge. This role involves collaborating with department heads, responsible for the overall implementation, administration, and coordination of training to ensure Rhoads’ goals and objectives are achieved.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Training Program Development:
    • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers. identifying and researching internal and external training needs and gaps for new and existing employees.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with external training subject matter experts
    • Liaise with subject matter experts
    • Point of contact for all training needs
    • Update and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation.
  2. Coordination and Administration:
    • Schedule training sessions and organize logistics such as venues, equipment, and materials.
    • Manage on-site and virtual training events including sending email invitations, catering, materials distribution, room set-up, and facilities coordination such as office access as needed
    • Inform employees and supervisors of scheduled training, track and report on training progress/outcomes/attendance.
    • Work with various departments as needed to ensure timely training of staff
    • Maintain documentation of the completion of initial and recurring trainings in each employee’s personnel file/HRIS record
    • Manage Learning Management module in company’s HRIS and other e-learning systems for course delivery and tracking
    • Coordinate with trainers, facilitators, and third-party vendors.
    • Manage and maintain an inventory of all training materials
    • Manage training budgets and track expenses.
  3. Evaluation and Feedback:
    • Develop evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Provide and receive feedback to participants and management.
    • Provide regular reporting on training results and schedules to management
    • Conduct annual audits with department heads to verify training content
    •  
    • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to improve future training initiatives.
    • Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and statistics.
  4. Support and Communication:
    • Provide support and guidance to participants before, during, and after training sessions.
    • Communicate with department heads and management regarding training schedules and outcomes.
    • Maintain records of employee participation and progress in training programs.
    • Research grant opportunities for training
  5. Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in training and development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required: High school diploma required and 1-3 years of training assistant or coordinator/administrative/HR/quality or related experience.
  • Preferred: Undergraduate Degree from accredited College or University and experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, safety shoes and hearing protection is required.  This position may involve occasional walking on uneven surfaces, use of ladders and ship stairs.
