WHAT YOU WILL DO

Purpose of this Role: The purpose of the Treasury Specialist is to perform treasury functions in a timely and accurate manner. This role assists with the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies within the Finance and Accounting functions of the business. The Treasury Specialist is responsible for expense approval processes, banking transactions and reporting, Positive Pay exceptions, manual check entry, check void requests, and executing ACH and wire transfer processes.

Value to the Team: The Treasury Specialist adds value through the ability to provide quality work product and a developed understanding of the treasury function as it relates to the organization. The value of this role is further demonstrated by the Treasury Specialist’s ability to provide expertise and insight due to the knowledge and experience they have gained.

Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

• Positive Pay Exceptions


• ACH and Wire Transfers


• Lockbox Redistribution


• Lockbox Bank Account Constructive Receipts-Confirmation and Recording


• Invoice Payment Approvals (ACHs, Checks, Credit card payments)


• Bank Daily Activity and Balance Reporting


• Trust Account Reporting


• Trust accounts: wire approvals, positive pay


• Reconciliations: Amex, Visa, operating account, trust account


• Processing: vendor invoices, requests for adjustments and invoice review


• Checks: cost payables, client refunds, void check requests


• Deposits for firm reimbursement


• Other duties as required/assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Training and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting or related field (preferred)


• 3-5 years of relevant work experience (at least 3 years working in accounting function required)

Conditions of Work:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.


• Ability to remain focused for extended periods.


• Ability to work on computers for a significant portion of the day.


• Ability to perform repetitive movements as required for positions (Typing, clicking, swiveling).


• Ability to multi-task.
