Responsibilities

• Perform annual reserve analyses


• Perform quarterly performance monitoring


• Assist with planning and financial reporting


• Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, Claims and Financial Services


• Take on ad hoc requests within the department


• Participate in data and automation initiatives


• Managing and mentoring a junior actuary

Skills and Qualifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society

• Minimum 10 years of P&C actuarial experience.


• Reserving experience at reins/ins company preferred.


• Strong Excel skills are mandatory. Excel VBA experience is a plus.


• Familiarity with ResQ and/or SQL a plus.


• Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.


• Experience managing/mentoring junior actuaries.
