Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Program Supervisor is responsible to oversee the assigned Program and staff using good initiative, judgment, and leadership regarding client safety, supervision, compliance, and provision of compassionate, quality of services within the Program with a commitment to the mission of the agency and furthering that mission in the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides direct, day-to-day supervision and performance monitoring over the program staff;
Ensures respectful and compassionate treatment is provided to all clients who enter the program;
Ensures that proper policies and procedures that protect the health, safety, and confidentiality of clients are developed and implemented;
Carries/provides program services for a smaller caseload of clients;
Works closely with the Program Director to identify opportunities to provide innovative and high-quality services to the community;
Ensures that the practices of the program meet best practice standards for the field;
Actively improves the quality of the program through participation in the Quality Management process;
Provide or make available on-going training for staff;
Work closely with other staff as a member of a treatment team, ensuring healthy staff-to-staff and staff-to-client relationships;
Provide direct services as is necessary for the efficient functioning of the program;
Ensure that documentation in client files is timely, complete, reflects clinical best practices, and meets State and BestCare standards;
Maintain strong relationships with community partners, developing collaborative relationships whenever possible;
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Ensures that any required certifications and/or licenses are kept current and renewed timely;

Performs other organizational duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field plus 2 years of experience in behavioral health or Associate's degree in behavioral health environment plus 4 years of experience in behavioral health

2 years' experience in a supervisory role
Familiarity or experience with addictions/substance-use disorder
For individuals recovering from a substance-use disorder, must have maintained continuous sobriety for the preceding two (2) years at the time of hire

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Current CADC-II (for SUD programs) or QMHA-I certification(s), or QMHA-R with commitment to obtain within 6 months (for Mental Health programs)
Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire, and be insurable under the organization's auto liability coverage policy (minimum 21 years of age and with no Type A violations in the past 3 years, or three (3) or more Type B violations)

PREFERRED:

Bi-lingual in English/Spanish (written and spoken) required

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Must have demonstrated competency or ability to attain/demonstrate competency within a reasonable period for each of the following:

Effective supervision of staff, including employee development, coaching/mentoring and performance management;
Ability to build and lead a positive, collaborative team;
Ability to ensure quality assurance and provide data collection, reporting, and program evaluation;
Ability to develop and maintain community resources and relationships and network with all resources to provide the best customer service;
Strong customer service skills with a positive, solution-oriented focus with clients and family members seeking help;
Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), EHR databases, virtual meeting platforms, internet, and ability to learn new or updated software;
Ability to enter client notes into electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with acceptable standards;
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
Strong communication skills (oral and written);
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through;
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
Critical thinking skills;
Ability to maintain strict confidence as required by HIPAA, 42 CFR, and Oregon statutes;
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships;
Ability to function well and use good judgment in a high-paced and at times stressful environment;
Ability to manage conflict resolution and anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately and effectively;
Ability to work effectively and respectfully in a diverse, multi-cultural environment;
Ability to work independently as well as participating as a positive, collaborative team member.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including computer/laptop, copy/fax/scanning machine, printer, and telephone.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Primarily indoors (85%)
Frequent sitting, standing, walking
Exerts force or lifts/carries up to 10-20 pounds at times
Continuous use of arms, wrists, hands to perform repetitive tasks/motions
Frequently grasping/squeezing
Occasional reaching above and below shoulder-level and climbing steps
Must perform repetitive tasks/motions
Must be able to hear alarms/telephone/audio/normal speaking voice
Must have clarity of vision: Near (<20"); Mid (>20" to < 20'); Far (> 20')
Must be able to drive motor vehicle to perform job
May be exposed to communicable disease
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
