Job Summary:
As a Lead Screw Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead a team by example, setting the standard for excellence and professionalism within the team. You'll oversee the setup and operation of advanced mechanical equipment, ensuring seamless production processes, and high-quality outcome. Your expertise in reading blueprints, interpreting engineering specifications, and troubleshooting will be critical, as will your commitment to safety and environmental policies. Effective communication will be essential as you coordinate with team members, provide clear instructions, and offer support and assistance as needed.

Job Duties:

• Perform moderately complex tasks related to set-up, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Assist in operating machinery in designated department when needed
• Inspect materials, final products and machinery for defects
• Implement process improvement initiatives as needed
• Ensure that department output meets organizational expectation
• Guide the manufacturing/operations team in interpreting existing processes and policies and assist in the development of efficiencies or process improvements
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

• Perform work under minimal supervision
• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
• 4 to 6 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment
• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
• Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
