Your Role

Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Transformation & Employer Brand, as the Global Senior Manager, Employer Brand, you will lead the strategy and execution of our global employer branding efforts. Your work will be crucial in attracting top talent, fostering engagement, and supporting our diversity and inclusion goals. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across Global Human Resources, Marketing, Internal Communications, and Global Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (GIDE) to ensure a consistent and compelling employer brand presence globally.

Key Responsibilities



  • Craft Inspiring Global Employer Brand Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive global employer branding strategies that align with our corporate goals and enhance our reputation as an employer of choice. Foster global cohesion and proactive branding through recruitment marketing, diversity, equity, inclusion, and strategic capability enhancement.


  • Design and Launch Engaging Campaigns: Initiate the creation and delivery of employer branding campaigns that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential candidates and current employees. Ensure our messaging strategy is compelling and consistent across all channels.


  • Forge Strong Business Partnerships: Collaborate with Global HR, Marketing, Communications, GIDE, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment. Amplify internal engagement events and maintain consistency in employer branding efforts across all regions and functions.


  • Leverage Data for Strategic Insights: Develop and report robust metrics to gauge the effectiveness of employer branding initiatives, identifying trends, successes, and areas for improvement to continuously refine our approach.


  • Manage and Inspire External Relationships: Cultivate relationships with external partners, including branding agencies, digital marketing firms, and social media platforms, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of high-quality work.


  • Optimize Processes and Technology: Drive continuous enhancement of end-to-end employer brand processes and utilization of technology. Work closely with global peers to ensure efficacy and consistency.


  • Align Branding with Inclusion Strategies: Collaborate with GIDE teams and Employee Resource Groups to balance consistency and specific needs in the deployment of innovative talent attraction strategies, messaging, and campaigns.


  • Support Global Talent Acquisition: Partner with the talent acquisition team to integrate employer branding efforts into recruitment strategies, enhancing the overall candidate experience and driving talent acquisition success.


  • Adapt and Innovate: Perform related duties as necessary or assigned, adapting to evolving business needs and strategic directions with creativity and agility.

Performance Objectives - These are the key priorities for the roll in the first 12 months.



  • Review and Enhance Social Media Advocacy Program ("MVP"): Conduct a comprehensive analysis of our current social media advocacy program, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Develop a roadmap to swiftly identify and articulate our Employer Value Proposition (EVP), including a detailed plan of action that encompasses the development of personal and leadership brands for all leaders within Medtronic.


  • Develop and Implement Digital Experience Strategies: Conduct an in-depth review of our digital experience for candidates and employees, creating toolkits for hiring managers and recruiters. These toolkits will include innovative elements like GIFs and interactive landing pages to enhance engagement and communication.


  • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Ensure that all employer branding content reflects our commitment to DEI. Develop and implement strategies that highlight our diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring that these values are embedded in every touchpoint of the candidate and employee experience.


  • Elevate Candidate Experience: Conduct a thorough review of the candidate experience, identifying opportunities to enhance every stage of the recruitment process. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to ensure a seamless, engaging, and positive experience for all candidates.


  • Innovate Global Employer Brand Content: Continuously explore and introduce new content formats and platforms to keep Medtronic's employer brand fresh and engaging. One that is truly global. Experiment with podcasts, webinars, virtual reality tours, and other innovative content to showcase Medtronic's culture and opportunities.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of experience across multiple talent and/or marketing disciplines, including driving employer branding strategy (OR 5+ years with an advanced degree)

Nice to Have



  • Expertise in Messaging Strategy: Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying messaging strategies, including asset creation, communication planning, and cross-channel content distribution.


  • Extensive Digital Strategy Experience: Proven experience in crafting and implementing digital strategies, with a track record in both organic and paid social media campaigns.


  • Proficiency in Social and Creative Testing: Deep understanding of social and creative testing methodologies, editorial content planning, and publishing processes, with keen attention to detail.


  • Vendor and Data Management Skills: Strong ability to manage vendors and effectively utilize first and third-party data sources.


  • Global Branding Expertise: Extensive experience in developing and executing employer branding strategies across multiple geographies, including US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.


  • Project/Program Management Experience: Proven experience in project and program management, demonstrating the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.


  • Strategic Global Leadership: Experience in leading branding strategies at a global level, with the ability to align employer brand strategies with business objectives across different regions and cultures.


  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for onsite participation in company meetings and events across various hubs and sites within our enterprise.



  • Team Scaling Experience: Demonstrated ability to scale and expand branding teams effectively to align with evolving business demands.


  • Diversity and Inclusion Strategy: Experience in devising and implementing strategies focused on diversity to significantly enhance initiatives within the organization.


  • Analytical Proficiency: High level of analytical skills, with exemplary assessment and judgment capabilities.


  • Industry Experience: Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology environment is preferred, showcasing adaptability to dynamic market conditions.


  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management, teamwork, follow-through, and organizational skills.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, fostering strong relationships.


  • Technological Familiarity: Prior experience with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing technologies, such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other relevant platforms.


  • Recruitment Marketing Knowledge: Knowledge of innovative approaches to drive candidate awareness, engagement, and brand affinity, including social media, employment branding, and advertising, with a deep understanding of recruitment process workflows and relevant employment laws

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$144,800.00 - $217,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
