Job Description:

The Disability Digest, based in Vermont, USA, has been a leader in providing free membership services to individuals seeking assistance with Social Security Disability benefits since 2006. Serving all states and territories that offer Social Security services, we have successfully supported over 192,235 individuals to get, keep, or maximize their benefits. Our team is dedicated to empowering our clients through comprehensive support and guidance.


The Disability Digest is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Social Security Disability Advocate (Remote). In this unique position, you will be responsible for guiding members through the Social Security Disability approval process, and then assisting with Medicare plan enrollment. 

This role of an Advocate would also participate in sharing our message through social media.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Disability Approval Process:

   - Guide members through the Social Security Disability approval process, offering assistance and expertise

   - Conduct case evaluations, collect essential information, and provide insights into the chances of approval


2. Medicare Plan Enrollment:

   - Assist members in understanding their options and assisting with the enrollment

   - To retain clients advocates are expected to respond to client's questions and connect with each client twice a year to review their needs and the value of our service and membership

3. Membership Communication:

   - Engage with members through various channels such as phone calls, emails, texts, live chats, and social media

   - Educate members on the benefits of their free membership and guide them through the disability approval process


4. Team Collaboration:

   - Work collaboratively within a small team, contributing to approval-focused activities and Medicare enrollment assistance

   - Adapt to fluctuations in business needs and contribute to the team's overall success


Qualifications:


- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Understanding of the Social Security Disability Benefits process and Medicare plans

- Experience in promoting messages on social media platforms

- Demonstrated empathy and compassion for individuals navigating complex processes

- Licensed insurance agents with Medicare experience are welcome
- Not licensed no worries. For the right candidate, we will help you pass the entrance test


Working Hours:


- Flexible, at least 20 hours a week, generally Monday to Thursday 10 am - 7 pm EST, with minimal to no work on Fridays.
