SUMMARY



The Financial Analyst IV conducts analysis and initiatives related to planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance and trend analysis and other special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS



Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Conducts in-depth financial analysis, including cost analysis, budget variance analysis, and financial forecasting, to provide insights and recommendations to project managers and leadership.


Collaborates with project teams to develop, review, and refine project budgets in compliance with government regulations and contract requirements.


Prepares accurate and timely financial reports, both for internal management and government agencies. Ensure compliance with all reporting standards and regulations.


Monitors and tracks project expenditures to ensure they align with approved budgets. Identifies and investigates any discrepancies or variances.


Maintains a strong understanding of government financial regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Ensures adherence to these regulations in financial practices.


Gives input and recommendations in the development of financial forecasts and projections to support project planning and resource allocation.


Prepares for and support financial audits and reviews related to the government contract. Address any audit findings and assist in implementing corrective actions.


Maintains accurate and organized financial records and documentation in accordance with government contract requirements.


Develops financial models and scenarios to assess the impact of various financial decisions and strategies.


Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by project managers and leadership.


Provides guidance and mentorship to junior financial analysts and team members. Shares expertise and best practices.


Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.


Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.



JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES



Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Programs, to include OneNote and Teams.


SharePoint user experience: ability to navigate, upload, and collaborate using SharePoint.


Must be ahighly motivated self-starter.


Possess good communication skills and the abilityto communicate efficiently and effectively both written and verbally.


Ability to take direction easily and remain flexible as needs evolve.


Must be able/willing to take on new challenges; execute tasks in small windows of time; and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Ability to operate proactively - to anticipate where support for the client is needed.


Stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, including the ability to conduct such activities seamlessly in a virtual environment, as required.



LANGUAGE SKILLS



Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.



REASONING ABILITY



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
