Background information:



Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems for the US Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial customers, is seeking an experienced Project Analyst to support the Distributed Maritime and Network Operations (DM&NO) business area based in our San Diego, CA office. The Project Analyst will work with IDT senior leadership and a team of mission-focused engineers to solve some of IDT's customer's toughest challenges. Initiative, creativity, reliability, and efficient teamwork is required to successfully deliver innovative solutions in this dynamic customer space.



Overview:



The Project Analyst will help lead multiple product area teams focused on applying IDT's technology for deployment on U.S. Navy tactical platforms. Project areas include real-time automated test and analysis, virtual compute environments, machine learning based data analytics, cybersecurity, backfit and forward fit of tactical solutions, and network analysis in support of the U.S. Navy's Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of solutions which meet or exceed customer expectations while managing project scope, schedule, and cost. The Project Analyst will support customer requirements elicitation, lead a multi-disciplined engineering team, and perform project analytic activities to maintain and report the completed project's scope as a function of schedule and cost. In addition, the Project Analyst will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into solutions that account for technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Support customer discussions and requirements collection

  • Schedule and track project deliverables, cost, and schedule using tools

  • Develop project execution and staffing plans

  • In coordination with the Engineering Lead, will coordinate the efforts of a multi-disciplined engineering team assigned to each project

  • Evaluate project status to ensure progress is being accomplished toward customer requirements and then redirect activities, as required, to attain requirements within cost and schedule

  • Support proposal development and cost estimating for follow-on and new contracts

  • Perform allocation and tracking of work packages across numerous Control Account Managers


Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline

  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management in the federal government sector


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification



Required skills:



  • Prior experience managing DoD projects

  • Familiarity with DoD Systems and/or Software Engineering processes

  • Ability to travel up to 10%


Preferred skills:



  • Experience with Federal Government contracts or equivalent

  • Experience in Earned Value Management

  • Understanding of U.S. Navy platform-level tactical systems and software

  • Experiences in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools

  • Ability to work closely with customers, Senior Project Managers, and Chief Engineers

  • Be capable of working independently, but thrive in a team environment

  • Solid problem-solving ability, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive


Pay Range*:$100,000 - $190,000 or $180,000 - $250,000

Notably, however, this amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate's experience, skills, and education.
