This position is responsible for all daily activities involved with warehousing. Such as being responsible for all shipments/orders shipping out and/or material being received in. The loading or unloading of trucks. Managing the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion. Physical cycle counts as needed. Must be forklift certified.
Responsibilities:
Fill out accurate receiving forms for all packaging and raw materials (notes damage/s at point of receipt)
Match purchase order with bill of lading. Run KPFI lot #’s for each pallet
Rotate stock for first expiring first out usage and/or Shipments
Inspect product, verify product number and quantities on Finished Goods and Raw Materials being sent to the warehouse for storage.
Advise Supervisor & Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods
Operates stretch wrap machine for all pallets going to warehouse for storage or outbound for shipments
Use RF scanners to pick or put away materials.
Load/unload trucks as directed.
Pick and stack materials for outbound shipments.
Inspect trailers for quality & sanitation using BB Trailer Inspection form.
Advise Warehouse Supervisor/Clerks of any shortages, damages, etc…
Keep Warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc…
Maintain forklifts records (inspection form) as well as proper charging and water level in battery
Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping requirements
Performs cleaning and sanitizing assignments on his/her area and assigned equipment
Understands and adheres to KPFG Allergen Storage Policy
Maintain GMP`s
Other duties as manager sees fit
Job Requirements:
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
Powered Equipment Usage - Forklift operators are required to wear their seat belts when operating sit-down powered equipment. Forklift operators are required to slow down in high traffic areas, go through strip curtains tail first and use horn at blind intersections.
Warehouse racking – Forklift operator is to keep their head and extremities inside the cage of the forklift to prevent injury while driving into and out of racking. Lighting on forklifts is to be used to assure safe usage of equipment in dark areas.
Safety PPE – hearing protection and eye protection are required in several areas of the facility. Watch for signs to make sure you have the proper PPE for that area.
