JR Systems Administrator



Location:



Atlanta, GA



Duties & Responsibilities:



• Support end-user IT devices life-cycle management (provisioning, deploying, patching, maintaining, backups, security, networking).


• Conduct IT and security assurance systems research and integrate technologies into complex electronic systems.


• Design and maintain IIT systems to support various sponsored research projects.


• Implement and maintain client and server software used to support project management and software development.


• Support Cross Domain Data Exchange and Systems Integration.


• Serve as implementor of Infrastructure as Code for configuration management solutions.


• Provide Virtual Machine management.


• Deploy security control configurations to systems using configuration management tools.


• Additional Responsibilities


• Mentor students and junior faculty/staff on the ASL-IT team.


• Contribute to sponsored research projects through research strategy, program direction, research execution, and business development.


• Tier 1 - 3 help desk support.



Minimum Requirements:



• 1+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.


• Experience with Linux operating systems.


• Experience with Windows operating systems.


• Experience with managing Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Domain Name System (DNS).


• Experience with developing scripts using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, and/or Python.


• Experience with network and computer system troubleshooting.


• Experience with device management systems (SCCM, JAMF, Satellite, Ansible).


• Experience with enterprise virtualization technologies (i.e. Hyper-V, VMware/vCenter, OpenShift/KVM).


• Experience with applying Windows, macOS, and Linux security patches.



Other:



• Active Secret Clearance.


• Experience with macOS operating systems.


• Experience configuring switches, routers, and other network equipment.


• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv6, VLANs, routing and subnetting.


• Experience configuring server equipment for production use (installing hardware components, iLO, troubleshooting, hardening, etc.).


• CompTIA Security+ and/or OS certifications.
