Job Description



We are seeking a dedicated and motivated PeopleSoft Systems Support Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining and supporting our PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and HR systems. The position is currently remote, but candidates must reside in California to be considered for a permanent role.



Key Responsibilities:

• 
  PeopleSoft Support: Provide support for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and HR systems, including navigation and issue resolution.


• 
  Oracle Database Management: Support the PeopleSoft Oracle development database, including connecting to SQL databases and running queries.


• 
  Unix/Linux Command Execution: Utilize Unix/Linux skills to issue commands, navigate servers, and handle basic system administration tasks.


• 
  Script Review: Review and troubleshoot Unix shell scripts and PowerShell scripts for secure file transfers (SFTP).


• 
  Collaboration: Work closely with the team of 7, including Business Analysts and System Administrators, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

• 
  Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.


• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree is required.


• 
  PeopleSoft Expertise: Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and HR.


• 
  Database Skills: Proficiency with Oracle databases, including the ability to connect to SQL databases and run queries.


• 
  Unix/Linux Experience: Competence in issuing commands and navigating Unix/Linux servers.


• 
  Script Handling: Ability to review and troubleshoot Unix shell scripts and PowerShell scripts.


• 
  Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, effective communication, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• 
  SFTP Knowledge: Experience with secure file transfer protocols and server administration.

Team Dynamics:

• You will be part of a 7-member team, including a Business Analyst and System Administrators. Currently, no team members have Unix/Linux experience, so your skills will be highly valued.
