Job Duties And Responsibilities
Help identify market opportunities to drive innovation and new product development :
Help determine attractive markets verticals and potential applications through a combination of primary and secondary research
Support R&D to identify Jobs to be Done and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) attributes
Support Business Cases For Company Investments
In partnership with R&D and Sales Applications Team, help identify given market trends & products for Nordson fit through biweekly meetings
Get input from Product Management, R&D and conducted VOCs for missing technologies & conduct research on existing solutions & market gaps
Support & Drive Market And Competitive Intelligence Processes
Partner with Product Managers & Sales to prioritize and identify key competitors for analysis and monitoring - biweekly meetings
Visit tradeshows & customer when needed to get & confirm market intel
Follow & report on leading indicators and market trends for target growth markets
Own the monthly market intelligence newsletter
Support Product Innovation Process
Analyze lost opportunities monthly and identify product innovation focus accounts
Be the contact point for GLG projects - facilitate project initiation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Business Administration or Science field is preferred.
3-5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
Familiarity with market research tools & approaches
Comfort with ambiguity
Self-starter, ability to apply proven project management approaches
Ability with work with different functions & cultures, including R&D, Operations, and Sales
Preferred Skills And Abilities
Experience working in or selling to the medical device, life sciences, or related industries
Practical experience with Voice of Customer (VOC) techniques, such as iDNA, BluePrinter
PMP Certification or related project management certification
Travel Required
Minimal, potentially up to 15%
