Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Responsible for the following monthly activities:

    1. Develop monthly journal entries.

    2. Upload financial information to Cognos.

    3. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

    4. Prepare journal entries and reconcile intercompany transactions.



  2. Responsible for fixed asset accounting activities and maintaining fixed asset data in BNA software.

  3. Assist in the development of the SOX controls and audits.

  4. Assist in audits performed by internal audit and external audit firms.

  5. Complete required schedules requested by the Corporate Tax department. 

  6. Develop and provide required tax reporting such as for sales/use tax, business tax, etc. 

  7. Provide back-up for Payroll processing. 

  8. Assist other divisions on temporary assignments as required. 

  9. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within the Accounting/Finance departments.

  10. Perform other duties, assignments and special projects that may be required.

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.

  • MBA and/or CPA or CMA certificate is preferred.

  • 7-10 years of accounting experience required.

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.

  • Proficiency and advanced knowledge of Excel required.

  • Daily working knowledge of MS Office Suite required (including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Experience with JDE is preferred.

  • Experience using Cognos is preferred.
