Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Effectively select, develop/maintain team position specific training programs, deliver performance feedback and disciplinary action to assigned staff to promote a collaborative and motivated production environment while ensuring company policies are followed.

  2. With key work partners to collaborate, identify, plan, and implement process improvement and cost reduction initiatives improving material handling efficiencies. Review allocated warehouse space and optimize layout as needed.

  3. Monitor supplier product quality, inventory levels and initiate replenishment order for supplies.

  4. Define, measure and report on production metrics and utilize information to formulate staff objectives.

  5. Create manning plan to support internal customers daily and resolve issues that pertain to materials.

  6. Conduct departmental meetings to communicate goals, changes, and provide daily priorities and update status on relevant items.

  7. Coordinate, train and perform certification and re-certification test for all internal forklift drivers.

  8. Facilitate cross training of employees for flexibility.

  9. Promote and facilitate the movement towards high performance teams.

  10. Expedite parts/orders to ensure completion by need date, notifying appropriate individuals of delays.

  11. Identify, analyze, and resolve inventory transaction errors as required.

  12. Use MRP system to generate reports and analyze data to facilitate the timely delivery of material. Identify, analyze, and resolve inventory transaction errors utilizing knowledge of MRP system.

  13. Be knowledgeable, follow, and ensure all company policies are being followed.

  14. Conduct scheduled audits, deliver safety training, and ensure employees follow established safety and good housekeeping guidelines.

  15. Conduct interviews for prospective employees.

  16. Supervise other areas when required due to OT coverage.

  17. Review and approve weekly time records for assigned employees.

  18. Conduct regular departmental meetings as required.

  19. Administer attendance policies as required.

  20. Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.
