Electrician 3rd Shift at Columbia Forest Group in Mellen, Wisconsin

Job Description:

Specific responsibilities of an Electrical Millwright include:


v Reading blueprints and schematic drawings, and work orders to determine work procedures.


v Dismantles, assembles, and installs equipment using various hand tools, hoists, dollies, rollers, building materials, and trucks.


v Repair/troubleshoot plant electrical systems, 120-480 volt, single and 3 phase circuits, motors and motor starters.


v Installation of conduit for new and existing projects.


v Troubleshoot, repair and program PLC equipment, be familiar with VFD's and proximity/photoelectric controllers.


v Installations may include shafting, conveyors, constructing foundations for machinery, or new equipment installation, fabrication, or relocation.


v Diagnosis of machinery problems.


v Fabrication of parts with the use of a milling machine, lathe and drill press.


v Assist production when needed.


v Repair and lubricate machines and equipment. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to wire-feed, arc weld, brazing, and acetylene cutting.


v Maintain your basic tool supply that is provided as well as coveralls and other PPE or company provided items.


v Ability to perform, monitor, and document preventative maintenance and schedule.


v Determining proper safety procedures (LOTO, JSA, REACH) needed to safely and efficiently complete tasks.
