Our client is a busy Medical office located in Tarpon Springs. They are seeking a temporary Claims & Appeals Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, multitask, and have high attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
Follow up on claims from billing through final resolution
Verify claims status with insurance
Prepare and review claims for electronic and hard copy billing resubmission
Denial and Appeal Management on all payers
Correct any billing errors and resubmit claims to insurance carriers
Reviewing and remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments
Be courteous and cooperate with patients, visitors, co-workers, and management
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize tasks
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims from commercial, government, or private insurances
The ability to read and understand EOBs Claim Adjustment Reason Codes
Knowledge of ICD- 10 and CPT codes and Payer medical policies
Ability to identify, track, and report payer denial trends to management
Accounts Receivables for commercial, government, and managed care accounts experience
Outpatient and hospital billing and collections/ facility billing
Must be proficient in MS Office with a focus in Excel
The ability to work independently and part of a team
NextGen experience is preferred but not required
Pay Rate: $20-$22/ Hour
Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
