Gaven Industries manufactures highly engineered systems for electromagnetic and RF shielding including solutions for IEMI, EMI, RFI, and HEMP/EMP. Our diverse customer base is spread across multiple verticals with thousands of government and commercial customers worldwide. We are looking for an Assembler to join our growing team!
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of mechanical and electrical components.
Duties:
Responsible for assembly of various items to meet customer requirements and to support the production schedule
Examine and inspect component parts, inspect first article produced to ensure conformance
Verify assembly of parts conforms to drawing(s), to all stated tolerances, and QC requirements
Work collaboratively with other team members to develop fixturing, process drawings, process routers, tooling requirements, and cycle time estimates
Communicate effectively with fellow operators, supervisors, engineers, and management personnel within the company
Accurately process production records, inventory items, time sheets, and test reports
Process and complete all required QC documentation and records
Responsible for maintaining the integrity of fixtures and tooling
Accurately fills out production records, inventory, time sheet, test reports, and other documentation
Ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times
Responsible for all work areas to kept clean, orderly and safe
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Understanding of basic mechanical, carpentry, pneumatics, and electrical assembly
Able to properly use and read calipers and tape measures
Use of hand tools including: saw, grinder, and sander
Able to perform physically demanding work: standing, bending, and lifting 50 lbs. regularly
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Six (6) months or more of assembly and/or general labor experience preferred
**Shift is daylight/ 4 ten hour shifts per week: Monday- Thursday 6:00am- 4:30pm**
