Job Description:
Scope of Position:
Perform a wide variety of engineering functions to improve the efficiency of manufacturing throughout the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List what the person must do to perform the job to meet standards.
- Responsible for methods of manufacturing, cost reductions and machinery specifications
- Over all responsible for environmental and safety compliance in the absence of the EHS Administrator
- Facilities Planning
- Works with production supervisors, engineering personnel, and corporate manufacturing services
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
The Manufacturing Engineer must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:
- Degree required in industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field
- Six to eight years of experience in a sheet metal environment
- Must be ambitious
- Must have organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Ability to function under pressure
- Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Ability to use AutoCAD software
- Must be able to get along with others
- Ability to prioritize
- Must understand company policies
