Job Description:

Responsibilities:



  • Service and/or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment in shop and off site. 

  • Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

  • Perform some welding and fabrication as required (mig, stick, plasma, torch cutting)

  • Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and work instructions

  • Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments as required to perform repairs and maintenance.

  • Complete shop maintenance during down time 

  • Enter jobs into computer system in alignment with company processes. 

  • Communicate updates on equipment to Location Manager.

  • Order parts 

  • Work in alignment with all company and OSHA safety policies 


Requirements:



  • Ability to assemble components per drawings and/or verbal or written instructions.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum system.

  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications,
    maintain a clean and safe workplace, must work in a manner deemed safe for self and others.

  • Willingness to work overtime when requested.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical
    aptitude is preferred.

  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams,
    and work instructions.

Experience

Required
  • 2 - 4 years: Experience in a mechanical or related position
