Job Description:

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team. The Research Associate will report to the Assistant Field Manager as a member of the Fulfillment Team.  The person will be responsible for conducting thorough online public records research and analysis of land records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of property data reports.  This position is qualified for remote work.

What you will do and achieve:


  • Conduct comprehensive research on properties using various sources such as public records, databases, and online resources.

  • Verify legal descriptions of properties and examine deeds, liens, restrictions, judgments, maps, and other documents related to property ownership.

  • Analyze and interpret complex legal documents to assess ownership history, encumbrances, and any restrictions that may affect the property.

  • Review state and federal environmental agency databases and GIS sites.

  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports summarizing findings.

  • Manage and maintain volume, quality, and turnaround time standards as set by Management.

  • Communicate with Field Management on status of reports and any special requests.

  • Support initiatives in Operations for process improvement.


  • This is an non-exempt position within the $24.97 to $30.00/hour range based on a 40-hour work week.

Education

  • A four-year college degree preferred


Experience


  • 2-3 years of experience in public records and property research  

  • Proven experience in Land/Title research or similar role in the real estate industry. 

Key Knowledge & Skills


  • Excellent research skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex legal documents.

  • Proficiency in using online databases, online GIS applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality. 
    Understanding of ASTM E-1527 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments Preferred.

Detail oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines and promote a customer-centric experience. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Possess strong organizational, managerial, and time management skills.
